A.J. Barile’s Chicago Pizza has done it again!

In 2010 and 2011, Chef Paul Duran took first place in the western U.S. traditional pizza division during the International Pizza Challenge at the International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas.

This year, it was Al Piser’s 18-year-old daughter, Joleen, who took home the award.

Joleen won first place in the western U.S. non-traditional pizza division during this year’s challenge, held last week.

During the finals, she took second overall.

This is her first year of competition.

The award-winning pizza, made with an herb-infused, cheese and caramelized onion-stuffed crust, is topped with a light sauce, garlic chicken, baby spinach, arugula, cremini mushrooms, candied bacon and garnished with finely-chopped red and yellow bell peppers and spices.

This second-best-in-the-world pizza, dubbed “That One” is available now in a 14″ size at A.J. Barile’s Chicago Pizza, 32693 Yucaipa Blvd., Yucaipa. Other sizes will follow.

A big Dine 909 congratulations to Joleen and the rest of the crew at A.J. Barile’s on their continued success!
