Chipotle Mexican Grill is one of the largest buyers of avocados, using a whopping 4%
of California’s annual avocado harvest, and going through some 97,000
pounds of fruit per day.

Wow…that’s a lot of avocados!

You can help put them to good use.

Next week, August 5 to 12, is Farmer’s Market Week, and Chipotle will be supporting California farmers in a unique way.

For every purchase of a side of guacamole at the chain’s California locations that week, Chipotle will donate $1 (up to $50,000) to the Farmer-Veteran Coalition.

Kind of a green-for-green exchange.

The Farmer-Veteran Coalition’s mission, according to its website, is “to mobilize our food and farming community to create healthy and viable futures for America’s veterans by enlisting their help in building our green economy, rebuilding our rural communities, and securing a safe and healthy food supply for all.”

Sounds good for farmers, good for veterans and good for us!

Chipotle Mexican Grill locations can be found throughout the Inland Empire.
