On Monday, Saverino’s Italian Deli and Market opened at 617 W. State St., a spot formerly occupied by Sticky Buns Bakery.

The deli, owned and operated by the husband and wife team of David and Veronica Saverino, offers a variety of hot and cold sandwiches, soup, lasagna and other items.

Italian groceries also are sold at the location.

Saverino’s is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

A grand opening is expected in about three weeks.
