That’s because the Baker’s Drive-Thru 60th anniversary 60¢ coupon, usually posted on Wednesday, was posted on Monday and is good all week.

And it’s for a 44-ounce Coca-Cola beverage.

That beats those other places by 40 and 12 ounces!

The coupon, which can be found here, can either be printed out or displayed on your mobile device.

The usual restrictions apply. One per customer or car. The offer is not valid with other offers.

The coupon is good until Sunday (September 23).

Feasting at the Farmers’ Market Sunday in Redlands

Feasting at the Farmers’ Market, a Redlands Conservancy “Party for the Necklace” fundraiser, will take place at 6 p.m. Sunday (September 23) at the Farm at the Grove School, 11126 Iowa St., Redlands.

The event will feature an eco art show, live music, a silent auction, information tables, and local chefs using local produce to create gourmet tastings.

Please bring a plate and commuter mug.

Tickets are $15 (plus $1.52 service fee) and available online here.

Arrr! Tomorrow (September 19, Matey) be International Talk Like a Pirate Day and Krispy Kreme is surrendering the booty for pirate folk.

Any of ye landlubbers willing to show up at Krispy Kreme and talk like a pirate will receive a free Original Glazed doughnut.

Sea Dogs showin’ up in full pirate regalia will receive a bounty of a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts!

Shiver me timbers!

Hangar 24 Oktoberfest is Saturday

Once again, Hangar 24 Craft Brewery is running the show at the Optimist Club of Redlands’ Oktoberfest celebration, which takes place from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday (September 22) at Sylvan Park, University Street and Colton Avenue in Redlands.

There will be plenty of German music and food as well as games and plenty of Hangar 24 beer at the family-friendly event.

Admission is $5 for guests 21 and over.

Dress up and compete in the costume contest, warm up your vocal cords for the yodeling contest, or give your arms a workout in the stein holding contest.

Food trucks coming to Rialto High School Saturday

Our friends over at I.E. Gourmet Food Trucks are hosting another local event Saturday (September 22), this time at Rialto High School, 595 S. Eucalyptus Ave.

The festival, a fundraiser for the school’s Musical Theatre Program, will take place from noon to 4 p.m. at the entrance to the school’s stadium.

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students, and free for kids under five.

In addition to the trucks, there will be music and games to keep you entertained.

Cheese Cave and Hangar 24? Yes, please!

Just because there is beer cheese doesn’t mean there should be cheese beer.

True enough, but how about cheese and beer separately together?

Our friends over at the Cheese Cave are providing the cheese and Hangar 24 Craft Brewery is providing the beer for Hangar 24’s latest Formation Flight Night, which will take place next Monday night (September 24) at Hangar 24.

There will be two sessions: 5:30 to 7 p.m. and 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Tickets, $25, are available online and at Hangar 24’s tasting room, 1710 Sessums Drive.

Seating is limited to 40 per session.

UHRB Food Truck Frenzy returns to Cable Airport Saturday

Back in February, we went to a well-attended food truck at Cable Airport, put on by the Upland Highland Regiment Boosters, a fundraising group for the Upland High School Instrumental Music Program.

We’re pleased to announce that the UHRB is hosting a second Food Truck Frenzy on Saturday (September 22), again at Upland’s Cable Airport, 1749 W. 13th St.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission is only $5.

V.I.P. admission (at 10:30 a.m.) is $25 and includes a goodie bag for the first 25 purchasers. V.I.P. tickets will be available from 6 to 7 p.m. tomorrow (September 18) at Sergio’s Mexican Restaurant, 657 W. Foothill Blvd., or at the door the day of the event.

Kids 5 and under are admitted free.

Once again, Dale Bros. Brewery is supplying the libations, with an Oktoberfest biergarten, er, beer garden.

We are looking forward to this event, and want you to join us, so…UHRB has generously given us four pairs of tickets to give away.

Redlands Corner Bakery Cafe opening next week

In just a few short months, the Open Kitchen‘s former home has been transformed into a Corner Bakery Cafe.

The opening date is only a week away (September 24).

Java junkies will want to be in line when the restaurant opens at 7 a.m. because the first 100 guests will receive a commemorative Corner Bakery Cafe travel mug and free daily refills of hand-roasted coffee for one year.

Free. Coffee. Every. Day.

The location will also hold a drawing at the end of the week. The winner will receive free grilled panini for a year.

The Redlands Corner Bakery Cafe, 402 N. Orange Street, Suite 2D, is the first in Redlands, the third in the Inland Empire, and the 37th in Southern California.

The cafe will open at 6:30 a.m. daily and close at 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and at 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant also caters.

Fundraiser brunch at Wild Rocket tomorrow

Fundraisers are popping up everywhere it seems.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow, Redlands’ Wild Rocket is hosting a brunch fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The fundraiser is for Team Primate Aflame, created in memory of Chris Long, 22, who passed away just hours after being diagnosed with Leukemia.

The seasonal restaurant will donate 10% of sales during that time to the team.

Dine Out for No Kid Hungry starts Sunday

If there ever was a week to splurge on a meal out, this is it.

This month, Share our Strength, a group focused on ending childhood hunger, is ramping up its No Kid Hungry campaign.

We’ve previously mentioned the Corner Bakery Cafe and the Togo’s fundraisers, both of which take place all month.

The campaign hits full throttle beginning Sunday (September 16) and running through next Saturday (September 22) as the organization celebrates Dine Out for No Kid Hungry.

Here in the Inland Empire, mostly chain restaurants are participating.

Participation varies from restaurant to restaurant, with many of them offering incentives like free food, for cash donations. Some are donating a percentage of sales to the cause.

Local participants include Fuddruckers, Sizzler, Joe’s Crab Shack, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, Elephant Bar, Denny’s and Arby’s.
