IHOP’s National Pancake Day gets a celebrity push

Who’s ready for free pancakes?

Apparently Kiss’ Gene Simmons is.

He’s just one celebrity who’s helping promote IHOP’s National Pancake Day, which this year takes place on Tuesday, February 5.

Several stars from far-flung corners of the entertainment world have lined up to film promos for the fundraiser, which benefits Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

IHOP is setting the bar high again for this year’s fundraising campaign, hoping to raise another $3 million for the organization, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. The chain raised over $3 million last year and over $10 million since starting the campaign in 2006.

The concept is simple. Just show up at your favorite local IHOP between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on February 5, get a free short stack of IHOP’s famous buttermilk pancakes and leave a donation for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Leading up to National Pancake Day, IHOP guests can purchase $1 or $5 “Miracle Balloons,” which also support the organization. The $5 balloons have a $5 coupon which can be redeemed on a future visit.

Head over the jump to take a gander at the videos.

BOGO taco today at Baker’s Drive-Thru

Baker’s Drive-Thru is no longer celebrating its 60th anniversary, but the Inland Empire-based chain has (so far) been consistent in continuing to dole out deals on Wednesdays.

Today (January 9) only, you can get one original taco free when you buy one and present this coupon from Baker’s Facebook page.

As always, you can either print out the coupon or display it on your mobile device.

The usual caveats apply: One offer per coupon and one coupon per person or per car per day. The offer can’t be combined with other offers or discounts.

Baker’s Drive-Thru locations can be found throughout the Inland Empire.
