Baconalia! returns to Denny’s

Salted Caramel Brownie Sundae with BaconLike the return of swallows to San Juan Capistrano, Baconalia! has returned to Denny’s.

OK, so Denny’s skipped a year, but you get the point.

Besides, the 2013 version of Baconalia! nearly doubles the number of offerings from back in 2011.

Back is the infamous (and delicious) maple bacon sundae, along with two other baconated dessert items — the maple bacon milkshake and the salted caramel brownie sundae with bacon (pictured above).

Mmmm!

Bacon lovers should head over the jump for the rest of the limited-time menu.

Beer fans!

St. Patrick’s Day is a notable day to drink beer, but which beer is the question.

Do you go the traditional route with a Guinness Stout or do you stick with your usual brew, perhaps a Corona even a — gasp! — Coors Light?

We’ve chosen 16 beers based on U.S. St. Patrick’s Day sales and/or popularity in Ireland, and left it to you to choose which one is the ultimate St. Patrick’s Day beer.

Every few days, we’ll tally the votes and narrow the field until there’s a single winner.

The whole event kicks off at 10 a.m. tomorrow (March 9). The first 30 kids 12 and under will share in the Zoo sundae, but all kids in attendance for the birthday party will receive free ice cream.
