Dine 909, meet KFI 640

If you’ve been watching our social media feeds the last couple of days, you might have seen that I was invited to be a guest on the Neil Saavedra’s Fork Report show on KFI AM 640 on Saturday (April 20).

Even though I was a little nervous, it was fun and the time flew by.

You can see a couple of photos taken during the interview on the show’s Instagram feed here and here.

If you want to check out our radio debut, you can listen to it here or download it here. (Our bit begins around 47:35, but feel free to listen to the entire show.)

Tesco selling off fresh & easy

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a decision.

U.K.-based Tesco PLC is divesting itself of its American grocery chain, fresh & easy.

Back in December, Tesco fired fresh & easy CEO Tim Mason and began conducting a strategic review of the chain.

The plan is for the El Segundo-based chain to remain in operation. Tesco has been apparently been fielding offers from buyers looking to keep the chain alive. There are no plans to close stores.

Panda Express doling out free Samurai Surf and Turf on Wednesday

As they are wont to do from time to time, Panda Express is offering guests a free single serving entrée with a coupon.

This go-round, the coupon — good Wednesday (April 17) only — is for Samurai Surf and Turf.

Samurai Surf and Turf is made with Angus top sirloin steak, marinated shrimp, red bell pepper, string beans and diced potatoes.

Wonder if the dish is so named because the potatoes are diced with a samurai sword. We’d like to think so.

The coupon, which can be found here, can be printed out or shown on your mobile device.

Panda Express locations can be found throughout the Inland Empire.
