Cal Poly Pomona’s annual salute to all things strawberry, the Tractor & Car Show and Strawberry Festival, takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the university’s Farm Store, 4102 S. University Drive.

The event is free. Parking is $3.

In addition to goodies like strawberry pie, strawberry jam, chocolate-dipped strawberries and strawberry-topped funnel cake, participants can also pick vine-ripened strawberries, beginning at 11 a.m.

The event will also feature live music, tractor and horse rides, a petting zoo, face painting, food vendors (including our friends from Suite 106 Cupcakery), an insect fair ($4 for adults, $3 for kids and students) and more.

And, as you may have surmised from the event’s moniker, there will also be a tractor and car show.
