Today is the last day at all but one Inland Empire Qdoba

We recently reported that Qdoba Mexican Grill would be closing about 20% of its corporate-run stores by the end of September.

We didn’t know that it would happen this soon.

And we didn’t know that Southern California would be a target.

Out of 15 Southern California locations, ten are closing.

Out of five Inland Empire locations, four are closing.

The following Inland Empire Qdobas will serve their last bowl of Mexican gumbo at 3 p.m. today (June 28):

  • Redlands
  • Ontario
  • Moreno Valley
  • Temecula

The Upland location, 1902 N. Campus Ave., will remain open.

Update: Thanks to reader John B., who noted on this week’s column (which you can read here) that in California (and 13 other states), Qdoba is “not actively pursuing real estate for corporate development at this time.” Click here to see the full list.
