Claremont Craft Ales turns one, throws party, collects shoes

Has it really been a year?

Claremont Craft Ales is celebrating its first anniversary on Saturday (July 27) and you’re invited to the party!

The brewery is hosting two separate sessions, one from noon to 4 p.m. and another from 5 to 9 p.m.

Tickets for either session are $20 and available now at the brewery or online (with a $1.69 service fee) by clicking here. Designated driver and kids’ tickets are just $5 (plus a $1.17 service fee online).

However, designated drivers and kids who donate a new pair of shoes (size 10 youth to size 14 adult) can join the celebration for free! Donated shoes will benefit Shoes That Fit, a Claremont-based charity that provides new shoes to schoolkids. Those who donate shoes will be entered into a special opportunity drawing.

Your ticket grants you admission, a commemorative glass, five 9-ounce pours, entertainment and popcorn. Designated drivers and kids will get admission, entertainment and popcorn.

DJ Ryan McWhorter will perform during the first session, while the band Rex Holmes will play during the second.

The brewery will have 20 of its beers on tap during the event.

Food will be available from Euro Café, The Corner Butcher Shop, Southern Fried Vegan and Nick’s Crafty Creations.

Also on Saturday, the brewery will begin selling a half-gallon Hydro Flask growler, which comes with a $1 lifetime discount on refills.
