IPA fans…head to Hangar 24 tomorrow

Fans of the India Pale Ale, rejoice! Tomorrow (August 1) is IPA Day.

And Redlands’ Hangar 24 Craft Brewery is celebrating it in a big way.

The brewery will be augmenting its current lineup of four IPAs (Columbus IPA, Double IPA, an experimental IPA and the Local Fields Essence) with six more.

The brewery plans on tapping two different session IPAs, both with the same alcohol content, but different flavor profiles — one more malty and bitter, the other with more of a hop aroma and lighter body.

The brewery also has two similar IPAs — differing in that one is fermented with an American strain of yeast, the other with a British strain.

The strongest of the day’s special IPAs is a Black Double IPA, and rounding out the list is what Hangar is calling Fruit Salad, brewed using six different hops noted for their fruity aroma and flavor.

To satisfy your hunger, the Big Easy Sandwich will be on hand with Muffalettas, Cajun fish tacos and more New Orleans favorites.
