The event is the San Bernardino County Museum’s annual Groovin’ at the Grove, and it’s a benefit for the museum’s programs and services.

The whole affair kicks off at 5 p.m. Saturday (July 20) and lasts until 10 p.m. Learn how to watusi and pony as dance lessons with the Limónadas kick off the shindig, and the main event begins at 6 p.m.

Krispy Kreme’s 76th anniversary = 76¢ dozen (when you buy one)

Mimi’s Cafe rolls back prices in honor of its 35th anniversary

Food trucks in Ontario Friday, Saturday

NAPA Auto Parts grand openingFood trucks are scheduled to be part of the festivities at the grand opening celebration for the NAPA Auto Parts superstore in Ontario this weekend.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday (July 12) and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday (July 13) at 2191 Burgundy Place.

Krave Fusion (another Inland Empire-based food truck…hooray!) and our friends from Where’s the Fire Gourmet Pizza and the Bacon MANia truck are scheduled to serve Friday, and Where’s the Fire is scheduled to return Saturday, along with Kona Ice.

Pechanga Microbrew Fest and Chili Cook-off is Saturday

The weather is expected to hit the 90s this Saturday (July 13) in Temecula, but it should be nice and cool inside Pechanga Resort and Casino’s Grand Ballroom, where the casino’s fifth annual Microbrew Festival and Chili Cook-off will be taking place.

Your $45 ticket includes not only chili tastings from the resort’s restaurants, but a two-ounce taster glass to enjoy unlimited samples of craft brews from the Inland Empire and beyond.

It’s not just about beer and chili, though.

There will also be a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley, and entertainment by the country/rock band American Made.

The event will take place from 1 to 5 p.m.

Another Inland Empire brewery turns to Kickstarter for funding

A short while back, the folks behind Sanctum Brewing Co. were successful in raising $40,000 via Kickstarter and are now looking at a fall opening for their Pomona brewery.

We’ve found another brewer who’s looking to open a tasting room in Rancho Cucamonga and has begun to raise funds using Kickstarter.
