Gingerbread Shop returns to Riverside’s Festival of Lights

Gingerbread ShopSince they’ve apparently been shut out of the L.A. County Fair, the only place locally to find the Yucaipa-based Gingerbread Shop is at downtown Riverside’s Festival of Lights, where they’ve parked for at least the last three years.

The pink A-frame is apparently an offshoot of a bakery at Santa’s Village and for a time was a fixture at the Inland Center in San Bernardino.

The shop serves up delicious desserts, including cinnamon rolls, apple crisp, and yes, gingerbread cake and gingerbread men, as well as hot beverages.

You can find the shop on the Main Street pedestrian mall, on the north side of Mission Inn Avenue.

The Festival of Lights runs through January 4, 2014. The shop is open noon to 10 p.m.
