Uncle Chuang’s Bakery opens near U.C. Riverside

Craving some Asian pastries, but don’t feel like driving all the way to Chino Hills to go to the 85°C Bakery Cafe?

Then simply head to Uncle Chuang’s Bakery in Riverside’s University Village.

The bakery opened late last year, but we finally got around to stopping by today to check it out.

Yucaipa Pizza Chalet is on the move

Yucaipa’s Pizza Chalet is on the move!

Its lease was not renewed at its longtime location at 34579 Yucaipa Blvd., so the owners moved the pizzeria about a block down the street to 34299 Yucaipa Blvd., in the former Community Bank building.

The new location was scheduled to open last week, but the opening was pushed back due to problems with the gas meter installation.

Steven’s Hope for Children again pairs with Jersey Mike’s Subs for Month of Giving

Day-of-Giving-Logo-2014Jersey Mike’s Subs’ Month of Giving has begun!

All this month, the sandwich shop will be collecting donations for various charities.

Here in the Inland Empire, the chain is again pairing with Steven’s Hope for Children, an organization that provides housing and other essentials for families with seriously ill or injured kids.

In the rest of the L.A. basin, the beneficiary is the Talbert Family Foundation, a group that provides financial support for families of sick kids.
