Veterans Day is Tuesday (November 11) and, as is tradition, restaurants are rolling out the red carpet for our servicemen and -women by offering deals — including free meals — to veterans and active duty military.

- Applebee’s is giving away meals from a limited menu. Selections include a 7-ounce sirloin steak, Fiesta Lime Chicken, a chicken tenders platter and Double Crunch Shrimp. In addition, the chain is giving back to veterans in need by providing items like appliances and medical equipment through its Thank You Movement.
- California Pizza Kitchen is providing free pizzas, pastas and salads from a limited menu. Choices include the Original BBQ Chicken pizza, Hawaiian pizza, Thai Crunch salad, Italian Chopped salad, Garlic Cream Fettuccine with chicken and Kung Pao Spaghetti with chicken.
- Chili’s is offering any lunch combo or selections from a limited dinner menu.
- Chuck E. Cheese’s is giving military families 20 free tokens from November 9 through 15.
- Claim Jumper will be offering free meals to veterans on Monday. Selections from a limited menu includes fresh baked pot pies, Tilapia Bianca, roasted tri tip dinner, grilled chicken, grilled salmon, Black Tie Pasta and chicken fried steak.
- Denny’s is offering a free Build Your Own Grand Slam between 5 a.m. and noon.
- Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour Restaurants are giving current and former servicemembers a Red, White and Blue Thank You Sundae from Saturday (November 8) through Tuesday (November 11). Civilians can purchase the sundae for $7.76.
- Golden Corral is hosting its annual Military Appreciation Monday from 5 to 9 p.m. November 17. All current and former servicemembers can get a free buffet and soft drink.
- Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream and Yogurt is offering a free single cone to all current and former military personnel.
- Hooters is offering a free meal of up to a $10.99 value (with a drink purchase) for current or former servicemembers.
- IHOP is offering free Red, White and Blue pancakes to current and former servicemembers between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Some locations will be giving away Red, White and Blue pancake combos, with eggs, bacon and hash browns.
- John’s Incredible Pizza Company is giving veterans and active duty military a free $5 FunCard with the purchase of a buffet from November 10 to 14 and coupon (found here). Current and former military personnel always receive 10% off their buffet purchase.
- Krispy Kreme is offering a free doughnut and small coffee.
- Olive Garden is offering a free entrée from a limited menu. Choices include Venetian Apricot Chicken, Sausage & Peppers Rustica and Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. Family members will receive 10% off their bill.
- Outback Steakhouse is offering a free Bloomin’ Onion and soft drink. In addition, veterans and active duty military can get 15 percent off their check (minus alcohol) from November 12 through December 31.
- The Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula is offering a free lunch or dinner at the Pechanga Buffet for all current and former servicemembers. Guests accompanying servicemembers who sign up for the resort’s rewards program will receive $3 off at the buffet.
- Pizza Factory is giving free lunch specials or buffets to active and former servicemembers.
- Red Lobster is offering a free appetizer from a limited menu November 10 through 13. Choices include Crispy Shrimp Lettuce Wraps, Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp, Lobster-Artichoke-and-Seafood Dip, Lobster Pizza and Chilled Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail.
- Red Robin is offering a free Tavern Double burger and bottomless fries.
- Starbucks is offering all veterans and active duty military and their spouses a free tall hot brewed coffee.
- Sizzler is offering free lunch until 4 p.m. on Veterans Day. Choices are a 6-ounce tri tip steak, a single Malibu Chicken or a half-dozen fried shrimp, plus a free soft drink.
- Texas Roadhouse is giving a free lunch from a limited menu. Selections include a 6-ounce sirloin steak, country fried chicken or sirloin, barbecue chicken sandwich, pulled pork sandwich and grilled chicken salad. A free soft drink is included.
Most restaurants require proof of military service.
