Chocolate Decadence, wine festival coming to Pechanga this weekend

WineFestChocDecTemecula’s Pechanga Resort and Casino has a pair of delectable events this weekend that are sure to delight any food lover.

The resort’s annual Chocolate Decadence is set for 7 to 10 p.m. Friday (February 27).

The event features both sweet and savory chocolate treats, along with more than 30 wineries featuring over 100 champagnes, sparkling and dessert wines specially selected for pairing.

Attendees will also be able to sample desserts and other confections created by Pechanga’s pastry chefs.

Saturday (February 28) brings the 7th annual Pechanga Wine Festival.

The event, which takes place from 1 to 5 p.m., features wines from the Temecula Valley, Central California, Napa Valley, the Pacific Northwest as well as international winemaking regions.

It’s not all about the wine however. Chefs from eight of Pechanga’s restaurants will be serving up food samples to pair with the wines.

Both events will feature live music and a silent auction with resort stays, golf packages, sports memorabilia, fine wines and other items.

Proceeds from both events will benefit the Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley’s “Brush with Kindness” program that provides home repairs for senior citizens and others who are unable to make the repairs themselves.

Tickets for the Chocolate Decadence are $50, and tickets for the Wine Festival are $65. A combo ticket to both events is $100.

Designated driver tickets are available for $30 for the Chocolate Decadence and $35 for the Wine Festival.

Attendees for both events must be 21 or older. Pechanga Club members can save 25 percent on tickets.
