When you think of root beer floats, there’s probably one place you think of: A&W.
The fast-food chain is celebrating National Root Beer Float Day on August 6 by giving them away.
From 2 p.m. until close, participating locations will be serving small root beer floats for free.
The giveaway is also a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that provides support for wounded veterans.
Last year, the company raised $200,000 for the organization.
With free root beer floats and help for wounded veterans, the only downside is that there are just two remaining A&W restaurants in the whole Inland Empire…and one’s in Baker.
The other is at 1930 Mentone Blvd. in Mentone.
