Super Pizza Hut debuts today in north San Bernardino

Super Pizza HutThe long-gestating Super Pizza Hut opens today (August 30) in north San Bernardino.

During a pre-opening military appreciation day on Sunday, I was able to take a peek at the new location.

I was told that the first-of-its-kind restaurant was the nation’s largest Pizza Hut, and I don’t doubt it.

The restaurant features plenty of sit-down seating, plus a full bar for sipping beer, wine or cocktails. However, the location’s liquor license is still pending.

Televisions ring the inside of the restaurant.

The menu is pretty much what you’d expect — pizza (including gluten-free options), pasta and wings — with a few additions.

The restaurant also offers appetizers, a selection of salads, and a handful of sandwiches.

The location also features the Pepsi Spire high-tech soda fountain. It’s one of just a handful of spots in the Inland Empire to do so.

I was hoping that the location would have a lunch buffet, but sadly it will not.

It does, however, offer a $7 lunch special — which comes with an pizza, salad or wings and a fountain drink — from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays.

Because it’s Pizza Hut, the new location also offers takeout and delivery.

The new Super Pizza Hut is at 2999 W. Kendall Drive, Suites C13-17.
