Dog Haus out? zpizza in in Rancho Cucamonga

It appears someone has turned the tables on us.

While we were patiently waiting for Dog Haus to open its third Inland Empire location at 11144 E. Foothill Blvd., Suite 130, in Rancho Cucamonga, zpizza quietly moved into the spot.

Although the specific page from Dog Haus’ website regarding the Rancho Cucamonga site no longer exists, the location (complete with address) is still on Dog Haus’ locations page as “coming soon.”

However, there’s no more room at that address for another eatery. Zpizza — which opens Friday (December 23) — filled the final vacancy.

The building also houses a Chop Stop and a Jimmy John’s.

I’m guessing the switch happened sometime in the early summer. The Rancho Cucamonga location’s page on the Dog Haus website was still active in May of this year, but a Google street view capture dated from June shows a “for lease” sign in the window.

In addition to the Rancho Cucamonga location, other planned Inland Empire Dog Haus locations include Chino Hills, Pomona, Claremont, Redlands, Apple Valley, Eastvale, Riverside, Palm Springs and Temecula. The chain currently has locations in Corona and Menifee.

Zpizza currently has locations in Upland, Claremont and Palm Desert.

The Rancho Cucamonga zpizza — which is a zpizza Tap Room location, complete with a self-serve tap wall with 26 local craft beers and four wine taps — will host a grand opening ceremony at 11 a.m. on Friday.

The first 100 customers through the door after 5 p.m that day will receive vouchers for a free small pizza each month for a year.

The location (as all zpizza locations do) offers delivery, dine-in, take-out and catering. The location also features a dog-friendly patio that seats 30.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m to midnight Friday and Saturday.

Thanks to our friends over at IEShineOn.com for the heads up.
