It’s that time of the year again…the Claremont Pie Festival, which typically takes place on the Saturday following Pi Day (March 14), is here!

The event is set for 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today (March 18) in the Claremont Village.

The free event offers lots of things to do for pie (and food) lovers, including a pie eating contest,bakers’ stage demos, makers’ stage demos, a recipe card hunt, a pie baking contest, a car show, pie tasting, an apron display and live music.

There will also be a food court with a pair of food trucks (Jojo’s Grill-A-Dog and the Cosmic Cheese Truck) and several local food vendors.

In addition, master pie baker Kate McDermott will do a demo and have a book signing.
