It’s almost here!

StoneFire Grill’s first Inland Empire location opens Tuesday (June 13) in Rancho Cucamonga.

It’s the ninth location for the Southern California fast-casual chain.

For the uninitiated, StoneFire serves comfort food of every stripe.

You’ll find pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, a vast array — 18! — of salads, plus barbecue meats — including baby back ribs, chicken, tri-tip, shrimp and salmon.

Of course, StoneFire also has a variety of sides, including garlic mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, cowboy beans, peanut coleslaw and chicken tortilla soup.

Most items are available in sizes for individuals or for sharing with two or more. There are also options for larger groups.

If that’s not enough, there are vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.

They also do catering.

Prices are very reasonable, with individual salads starting at $5.99, sandwiches at $6.99 and individual pizzas at $7.49. Barbecue meat meals — which include a salad or a side and two breadsticks — start at $9.59.

I was lucky enough to get invited to the restaurant for a media tasting last week and can report that everything I tasted was delicious.

I sampled two different pizzas, a couple of pastas, a pair of salads, garlic mashed potatoes, the chain’s signature breadsticks, plus lemon garlic chicken, baby back ribs, and two varieties of tri-tip.

Oh, and three amazing desserts: Carrot cake, fudge brownie and Sandy’s cookie.

The new StoneFire Grill is at 10680 E. Foothill Blvd., in the spot formerly occupied by On the Border. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
