Throughout the month of March, customers have been helping out by donating to specific charities.
Here in the Inland Empire — along with locations in greater Los Angeles, Fresno and Santa Barbara — funds are earmarked for Operation Gratitude, a San Fernando Valley-based organization that sends care packages to deployed military, first responders, veterans, military families and wounded heroes and their caregivers.
Three locations — in Northridge, Hollywood and Sherman Oaks — are donating to City of Hope.
During last year’s Day of Giving, $4.5 million was raised for over 150 charities.
During today’s Day of Giving, the sandwich chain will donate all its sales to the specified charities.
