Food trucks at Saturday’s Mach One Mud Run in Corona

It’s time once again for the Mach One Mud Run in Corona!

And, as last year, there will be food trucks, along with beer from Hangar 24 Craft Brewery.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday (June 15) at the Corona Municipal Airport, 1900 Aviation Drive, Corona.

Admission for spectators is free, and parking is just $5.

RA Sushi gearing up for annual Nicky’s Week fundraiser

Nicky's Week 9The RA Sushi chain (which has locations in Chino Hills and Corona) is gearing up once again for its Nicky’s Week fundraiser, which runs Sunday (May 26) through Saturday, June 1.

The campaign raises funds for cancer research and treatment at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

The chain will generously donate 100% of proceeds from the sales of select food and beverage items to St. Jude’s.

Food trucks serving Riverside County tonight

If you happen to be in the Norco/Corona area tonight (March 6), you’ve got your choice of free admission food truck events.

One is at Norco High School, 2065 Temescal Ave. The other is at Corona High School, 1150 W. Tenth St.

Both events are in conjunction with the schools’ open houses and run until 9 p.m.

Pacific Western Bank’s annual food drive on through February 28

For the third year, Pacific Western Bank is hosting a food drive for Inland Valley Hope Partners.

Eight branches (five of which are in the Inland Empire) are participating: Corona, Claremont, Covina, Glendora, Irwindale, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario and Upland.

The bank has set a goal to collect 500 food items per location. Last year it collected three tons of food, which helped feed about 150 families for a week.

Since 1968, Inland Valley Hope Partners has provided food, shelter and supportive services to children and families in need. It provides close to 70,000 pounds of food every month, so your donations are definitely needed.

Food trucks rolling into Corona on Saturday

Just when you thought we were pretty much done with food trucks for the year, the “Minister of Culinary Awareness,” Cliff Young, is bringing them back for one last hurrah this weekend.

Of course, this is all totally contingent on whether or not the Earth is destroyed tomorrow.

The Dos Lagos Food Truck Festival will take place (barring doomsday) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday (December 22) at The Shops at Dos Lagos, 2780 Cabot Drive, Corona.

Corona Gourmet Food Truck Festival coming next weekend

OK, we’re taking a little break this weekend, but the food trucks are coming back to the Inland Empire next weekend.

The big event will be at Corona’s the Shops at Dos Lagos.

The Corona Gourmet Food Truck Festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, August 25 at the shopping center, 2780 Cabot Drive.

Thirty food trucks are scheduled for the event, courtesy of our friends over at I.E. Gourmet Food Trucks.

It’s not all about the food trucks, however.

Also part of the event is Taste of Dos Lagos, which features samples of food, wine, and cocktails from various Dos Lagos eateries, including the Viva Las Vegas roll from RA Sushi, stuffed dates and quinoa from Citrus City Grille, Jack chicken strips, bruschetta chicken pasta and Electric Lemonade from T.G.I. Friday’s, a beer float with Young’s Double Chocolate Stout and Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream, and Chimay-braised pulled pork sandwich with Harvarti cheese and apple butter on a Brioche bun from Steam Haus Gastropub, grey salt caramel, fresh mint chip, roasted banana with brown sugar caramel and lavender honey ice creams from Christopher Michael Ice Cream, and selections from Miguel’s California Mexican Cocina, TAPS Fish House and Brewery and Pinkberry.

In addition, Hangar 24 Craft Brewery will be on hand, pouring a selection of brews.

Tickets are $8 (plus $2.06 service fee) in advance or $10 at the door. V.I.P. tickets, which grant you one hour early admission (10 a.m.) and entry to a shaded area with reserved tables, are $20 (plus $2.90 service fee) in advance or $25 at the door. Kids five and under are admitted free.

Advance tickets are available online here or at the Dos Lagos Management Office, located near Sunglass Hut.

While supplies last, you can get two free tickets to the event by spending $75 in a single day at Dos Lagos retailers. Simply bring your receipt(s) to the Dos Lagos Management Office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Corona Partners for Parks.

Sharkfest brings food trucks to Corona Thursday night

The public is invited to Santiago High School’s Sharkfest, happening from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday (August 16).

Several food trucks are scheduled to be at the event:

Admission is free. Proceeds will benefit the school’s football team.

Santiago High School is at 1395 Foothill Parkway, Corona.
