Project Pie opens in Chino Hills

Project Pie Chino HillsProject Pie, the latest concept from MOD Pizza and Pieology founder James Markham, opened earlier this month in Chino Hills.

Other Southern California locations include San Diego, Chula Vista, Ladera Ranch and Carlsbad.

Project Pie customers can choose to build their own pizza, select one of eight pies with specific topping combinations, or start with one of those eight pies and customize.

Chino Hills Wine Walk is tomorrow

Chino Hills Wine Walk 2015Are you ready to sip, snack and shop, all while supporting the Chino Hills community?

The fifth annual Chino Hills Wine Walk will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. tomorrow evening (October 10) at The Shoppes at Chino Hills.

Proceeds from the event will help the Chino Hills Community Foundation’s cause to supplement funding for cultural, educational and recreational projects in the city where funding is insufficient or unavailable.

20 wines and appetizers will be featured at participating retailers at The Shoppes at Chino Hills.

New-concept Souplantation open in Chino Hills; grand opening is Thursday

The long-anticipated Souplantation has opened in Chino Hills.

It’s the first of its restaurants to sport a new, fresh design.

The restaurant had its soft opening last month, but will be hosting a grand opening fundraiser on Thursday (July 10).

Reservations being taken for BJ’s holiday beer pairing dinners

Reservations are now being taken for a special five-course holiday beer-pairing dinner at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse locations throughout the Inland Empire.

The dinners will take place beginning next Monday (November 25).

Price is $30 per person, and obviously, you’ve gotta be 21 or older to participate.

RA Sushi gearing up for annual Nicky’s Week fundraiser

Nicky's Week 9The RA Sushi chain (which has locations in Chino Hills and Corona) is gearing up once again for its Nicky’s Week fundraiser, which runs Sunday (May 26) through Saturday, June 1.

The campaign raises funds for cancer research and treatment at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

The chain will generously donate 100% of proceeds from the sales of select food and beverage items to St. Jude’s.

85°C Bakery Cafe coming to the Inland Empire

We’ve mentioned before that the Taiwanese chain 85°C Bakery Cafe was inching closer to the Inland Empire, with locations in Hacienda Heights and then West Covina.

Well, it didn’t take long for them to get here.

I visited the West Covina location tonight and saw a sticker in the window advertising that the beverage/pastry/bread shop was hiring for its Chino Hills location.
