Hamburger Mary’s opens in Ontario

Hamburger Mary's OntarioGay-friendly restaurant and bar Hamburger Mary’s opened Tuesday (August 11) at 3550 E. Porsche Way in Ontario.

The first drag show brunch at the new location will take place August 30.

A grand opening is set for September 12.

Current hours are 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.

The restaurant is also bringing Legendary Bingo to this location on Monday nights.

Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park hosting another food truck festival tomorrow

SpooktacularCucamonga-Guasti Regional Park (800 N. Archibald Ave., Ontario) is hosting a “Spooktacular” food truck festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow (October 19).

It’s the park’s third such fest in the last few months.

Participating trucks include: Eat ‘Em Up Truck, Fresh Street Food Truck, Me So Hungry, Mustache Mike’s Italian Ice, Pearson’s Cajun Food, Piaggio on Wheels and Slammin’ Sliders.

The event will also feature live entertainment and a costume contest.

Admission is $5 per person, with children age 3 and under admitted free.

Another food truck event coming to Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park Saturday

Food truck fans (and their canine companions) will want to head to Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park in Ontario tomorrow (September 6).

The county is hosting a Doggie Pool-ooza and food truck event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the park, 800 N. Archibald Ave.

It’s the park’s second food truck event in less than a month.

Cucamonga-Guasti Food Truck Festival returns Sunday

Cucamonga-Guasti Food Truck FestivalFood truck fans should make tracks for the Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park, 800 N. Archibald Ave., Ontario, on Sunday (August 17).

Scheduled trucks include the Grilled Cheese Truck, the Fresh Street Food Truck, the California Grill Truck, Me So Hungry, Baby’s Badass Burgers, Slammin’ Sliders, Rolling Sushi Van, Devilicious, Mustache Mike’s and the Bakery Truck.

The event, which will feature live music from the Suicide Kings, plus BMX and hula demonstrations, is scheduled for noon to 5 p.m.

Tickets are $5 per person. Children age 3 and younger are admitted free.

Krispy Kreme to celebrate 77th birthday with 77¢ second dozen Friday

It seems like a lot of eateries are celebrating anniversaries this month and last. Here’s another to add to the list: Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.

The chain will celebrate its 77th anniversary on Friday (July 11).

That day, guests can receive a dozen original glazed doughnuts for just 77¢ when they purchase any dozen at regular price.

The chain’s sole Inland Empire location is at 4485 Mills Circle.

Black Angus and Del Taco celebrate golden anniversaries

Del Taco prize packCongratulations to two restaurant chains that turn 50 this year: Del Taco and Black Angus.

Black Angus has kicked off a yearlong celebration with a classic cocktail menu, featuring timeless libations such as Rob Roy, Old Fashioned, Sidecar, Whiskey Sour and Vodka Gimlet.

In addition, the classic cocktails are available for just $5 with the purchase of any entrée on Tuesdays. The steakhouse also will introduce limited time entrées and seasonal desserts throughout the year.

Del Taco, of course, was born in the Inland Empire, and is intertwined with the histories of Baker’s Drive-Thru, Taco Bell, Taco Tia and Naugles.
