The Inland Empire Auto Show is rolling in to the Ontario Convention Center this weekend, and bringing several food trucks in tow.

Great Taste Friday, featuring samples from area restaurants and wineries, is returning as well.

The event runs from noon to 8 p.m. Friday (August 24), from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday (August 25) and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (August 26) at the center, 2000 E. Convention Center Way.

Great Taste Friday takes place from 5 to 8 p.m.

Tickets are available now for $10 (plus $1.34 service fee) or $5 (plus $1.17 service fee) for military and seniors (62+). Children 12 and under are admitted free.

However, if you poke around, you might find some really good discounts here and there.

There’s only going to be a smattering of trucks, but it’s a pretty good assembly, starting with the ever-popular Grilled Cheese Truck, which is scheduled to make an appearance on Saturday.

Also scheduled, our pals from Bacon MANia, Thai 1 On and the Inland Empire’s very own My Delight Cupcakery, who will be traveling all the way across town to participate.

The Ontario Elks Lodge, 1150 W. Fourth St., is having its last Corn Feed of the year.

The event, which features freshly-picked and shucked corn, will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday (August 19).

Diners can fill up on all-you-can-eat corn, plus a hamburger or hot dog, along with salad and baked beans for $8.

Kids 6 through 12 can eat for only $5, and children under 6 can eat free.

An extra hamburger or hot dog can be purchased for $3.

The Yum! Festival, originally planned for what seems like an eternity ago, but was actually March 25, is finally happening on Saturday (June 23).

The event, which will bring a whopping 51scheduled trucks (including the I.E.’s My Delight Cupcakery and Where’s the Fire? Gourmet Pizza) to Ontario Mills, will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in a northwest mall parking lot, near Fuddruckers and Carl’s Jr.

The original date was rescheduled due to a forecasted thunderstorm that didn’t quite materialize. Tickets purchased for the original date were refunded.

If you won free admission from us (or from any other site), you’ll still be able get in free on Saturday.

Presale tickets are $5 (plus $1.27 service fee) and are available here.

Tickets will be $7 at the door. Kids four and under are admitted free.

Oporto is filming its first television commercial today (June 1) and you have a chance to be an extra in it!

All you have to do is show up at the Ontario location, 4295 Concours St., any time between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. today. They’ll be filming during that time.

As an incentive, you’ll receive 20% off your meal.

Presale tickets for the Yum! Festival, which was was rescheduled from March 25 from to June 23 due to stormy weather, are now available online.

In addition, the list of scheduled trucks has been updated.

The food truck extravaganza will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in a northwest parking lot of Ontario Mills.

Tickets (only $5, plus $1.27 service fee) are available here. Tickets will be $7 at the door.

This weekend is another great one for food lovers.

The Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario will host not one, but two delicious events, including the return of the I.E. Food Truck Fest!

Saturday (May 5), the Hispanic Business Alliance brings us the first Dixie Salsa Barbecue Competition, a Kansas City Barbecue Society-sanctioned event.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Over 30 teams will compete for trophies and cash money, y’all.

In addition to the barbecue competition, there will also be a youth music competition, with the winner taking home $500 and performing at Sunday’s event.

An if the competitions weren’t enough, there will also be a handful of food trucks, a car show exhibition, kids’ zone and more.

Sunday (May 6) will be the third iteration of the ber-popular I.E. Food Truck Fest from noon to 6 p.m.

The previous two fests each attracted about 11,000 attendees.

In addition to 42 food trucks, there will also be live music and a kids’ zone.

As if there weren’t enough food-related events happening this weekend, here’s one just for you chocoholics!

It’s called Chocoholics Anonymous the Inland Empire Chocolate Festival, and it’s taking place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow (April 21) at the Hilton Ontario Airport Hotel, 700 N. Haven Ave., in Ontario.

In addition to chocolate tastings, the event will also include culinary demonstrations, music and entertainment.

Advance tickets are $15 (plus a $1.50 service fee), which includes five chocolate tasting tickets and three wine tasting tickets, which can be exchanged for chocolate tasting tickets (for those under 21).

Advance youth tickets (12- to 17-year-olds) are $10 (plus a $1 service fee) and include four chocolate tasting tickets.

Tickets will be $20 at the door for adults and remain $10 for youth.

It’s not the golf aspect of this event that warrants its inclusion in this blog…it’s the food, beer and wine that does.

The Golf, Wine and Dine Expo will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow (April 21) at the Ontario Convention Center.

In addition to being able to check out the latest in golf equipment, attendees can sample fine wines, succulent food, and brews from the Inland Empire’s best wineries, restaurants, and craft breweries.

Wine and beer tastings will be available through the duration of the event, with free popcorn, restaurant tastings and free snacks available at different times throughout the day. Click here for a schedule.

Tickets are $10, and proceeds benefit the PGA Southern California Foundation and the Make A Wish Foundation of Orange County and the Inland Empire.
