Reservations going fast for upcoming Grub Club event

It’s still nearly two weeks away, but reservations are going fast for the next Let’s Dine Out Show’s Grub Club event.

The next dinner is set for 6 p.m. February 8 at Spaggi’s Italian Grill, 1651 W. Foothill Blvd., Upland.

According to the Tweet below, only 14 seats remain as of Tuesday night.

The $43 cost per person is all-inclusive, and covers the food, tax, gratuity and non-alcoholic beverage.

Taste of the Inland Empire happens tonight in Claremont

The Upland Chamber of Commerce’s Taste of the Inland Empire will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. tonight (January 15) at the DoubleTree by Hilton, 555 W. Foothill Blvd., Claremont.

In addition to an array of food and drink, the event will feature a Monte Carlo night and an auction.

Reservations available for Mes Amis’ Opus One wine pairing dinner

Mes Amis Upland wine pairing dinnerUpland’s Mes Amis restaurant is hosting its inaugural four-course wine pairing dinners on Jan. 22 and 23.

Two price levels are available: $75 and $125.

The $75 dinner features a selection of Lebanese wines, while the $125 dinner features the recently released 2012 Opus One.

Tonight’s Incredible Edibles fundraiser to help Scheu Family YMCA

Tickets are still available for tonight’s (August 13) Incredible Edibles fundraiser for the Scheu Family YMCA of Upland.

The event will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Memorial Park, 1100 E. Foothill Blvd., adjacent to the YMCA.

Forty vendors are scheduled to serve, including Buckboard BBQ, Dale Bros. Brewery, Elvira’s Mexican Grill, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, Graber Olive House, Hamilton Family Brewery, Hangar 24 Craft Brewery, Pacific Wine Merchants, Paul Martin’s American Grill, P.F. Less than a week to help out Upland’s Padua Pasta Makers

Maria Rogers and Wendy Gallal are gearing up to open Padua Pasta Makers in downtown Upland and are in the process of raising funds for the business via Kickstarter. Their goal is to raise $20,000 to help complete construction and pay for start-up costs. They have until July 30.

The Italian deli will specialize in fresh pasta and ravioli made from scratch daily.

Perks for donors range from a hearty ‘thank you’ for a $10 donation to a full day of making pasta, plus dinner for four, a goodie bag and a signature slotted spoon for a $1,000 donation.
