When it comes to IHOP and fundraising, we usually think of its National Pancake Day event that benefits Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

This year, IHOP is helping out yet again.

From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today (August 23), IHOP is offering a $1 short stack of pancakes, with that dollar going to No Kid Hungry, an organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America.

Delayed Inland Empire Restaurant Week begins today

Pine Haven IERWInland Empire Restaurant Week, originally set for spring of this year, is taking advantage of the late summer doldrums and is launching today (August 12).

Besides, it really is too hot to cook.

Perhaps as a consolation for the delayed launch, the fifth edition of the event has been extended to a full two weeks instead of the 10 days previous events have lasted. The event comes to a close on August 25.

Celebrate Wienerschnitzel’s 55th anniversary with 55¢ hot dogs

Celebrating “Der fun since ’61,” the world’s largest hot dog chain is celebrating in typical Wienerschnitzel style…by offering hot dogs at a bargain price.

Today (July 11), the chain is selling hot dogs — original, chili or kraut dogs — for just 55¢.

Guests can buy up to 10 hot dogs at that price.

Wienerschnitzel locations can be found throughout the Inland Empire.

You can help Stamp Out Hunger on Saturday

Stamp Out Hunger 2016The National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger food drive, the largest single-day food drive in the country, returns this Saturday (May 14).

It’s simple to participate! Just root through your pantry and gather some non-perishable items (please make sure that they’re not expired and avoid glass containers) and bag them up.

Then just put them by your mailbox before the carrier comes on Saturday.
