A very special Grub Club is filling up has sold out

The Let's Dine Out Show's Grub Club events are traditionally special meals served at a local restaurant.

Next month's event is a break from tradition.

The February 26 Grub Club is in partnership with the American Culinary Federation Southern California Inland Empire Chefs & Cooks Association and will take place at the Riverside Culinary Academy.

The evening will feature a six-course meal designed and prepared by five of the Inland Empire's premiere chefs.

If you're interested in this unique experience, you better hurry.

About two-thirds three-fourths of the reservations for the $25 meal have already been filled.

Click here to see the menu and to register for the dinner.

Update: The event is now sold out! I hope you were able to register it did.

Gingerbread Shop spotted!

BestCocoa.pngFor those of you who missed the Gingerbread Shop at this year's Los Angeles County Fair (myself included), you can catch it at Riverside's Festival of Lights.

Gingerbread Shop will be selling cookies, gingerbread cake and "the best hot cocoa on the planet" through January 8.

Prices appear to be unchanged since the 2010 L.A. County Fair.

Some of you may be old enough to remember when the pink A-frame had a permanent spot in the Inland Center.

Apparently, before that, they sold gingerbread at Santa's Village.

The current owners are from Yucaipa.

The Gingerbread Shop is on the Main Street pedestrian mall, just north of Mission Inn Avenue.

Pizza for Thanksgiving?

Who says you have to have turkey for Thanksgiving? Or even ham?

Some of my favorite holiday meals were homemade spaghetti or lasagne, made with love by Mom.

But how do you feel about pizza?

John's Incredible Pizza (no relation), which gave us a scary good $5 deal on Halloween, is offering a similar deal for Thanksgiving.

For $7 per person, you and the family can have all the pizza, salad, soup, pasta, desserts and non-alcoholic beverages you want.

In the Inland Empire, the deal is only good at the Riverside and Montclair locations, so you Victorvillains will have to trek down the hill if you want this deal.

The deal is good from noon to 9 p.m. Thanksgiving day. No coupon is necessary.
