From the Redlands Daily Facts comes a pair of events at Time in a Bottle.

The fun begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday (March 19) when they will be hosting a tasting of Two Angels wines. Appetizers will be served and the vineyard’s owner will be available to answer questions.

Cost is $25 and reservations are recommended.

But wait…there’s more!

The fun continues at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 with Lasagna Night! The menu includes Caesar salad, either meat or roasted vegetable lasagna, sauteed vegetables and garlic bread, all for the unbelievably low price of $14.95.

From the Redlands Daily Facts, we learn that Time in a Bottle is hosting an Australian wine tasting at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow night (Thursday, March 5).

In addition to the wine tasting, appetizers will be served.
Cost is $25, and reservations are recommended as this event is likely to sell out.

Paxton’s Cellar hosting cancer-fighting benefit

Ah…the cancer-fighting benefits of wine!

From the pages of the Redlands Daily Facts, we read that Paxton’s Cellar in Redlands is hosting a benefit for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The wine tasting is being presented by Erin and Kathy Martin from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, November 20.

Erin, a 25-year-old oncology nurse, will be running in a marathon to benefit the society on December 14, her 26th birthday. Her mother Kathy, 56, will be running with her. This will be Kathy’s second time participating.

Each runner is required to gather a $4,700 donation to participate in the marathon.

The Martins’ are asking a $40 minimum donation to enjoy the wine tasting. A limited number of advance tickets will be available. For tickets, call Erin Martin, (909) 855-2953, or Kathy Martin, (909) 557-4395.

Taste wine and help support kids with cancer

The Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of the Inland Empire is having its “A Taste for Life…“, a wine tasting & live/silent auction fundraiser, from 6 to 9 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 4, at the historic Hofer Ranch, 11248 S. Turner Ave. in Ontario.

Tickets are $150 for individuals or $250 for a couple.

This is the Candlelighters’ first wine event.
Seven vendors will be pouring wine throughout the evening.

Some of the items up for bid include:

  • round-trip tickets for two anywhere in the U.S.
  • wine parties
  • Napa vineyard tours
  • a week’s stay at Meridiana Villa in Umbria, Italy

I’ll bet they’ve got some really good food in Umbria!

All proceeds from the evening will go to the Candlelighters.

The
Candlelighters work to provide emotional, social, educational and
emergency assistance to families that have or have had a child with
cancer. They currently provide services to over 600 families in 120
cities throughout Southern California.
