Rudy Seanez continued to make a loud statement for why he should be on the opening-day roster, pitching yet another perfect inning, this time the eighth. He struck out one batter and didn’t allow a ball to be hit out of the infield, albeit on a day when the win blew stiffly in from center field all afternoon. Seanez, a non-roster invitee, still hasn’t given up a run all spring and has allowed just two hits in 8 1/3 innings. But it isn’t clear how the Dodgers are going to get him onto the 40-man roster, much less the 25-man. With Repko done probably for the first half, the one open spot on the 40-man probably will go to Larry Bigbie, who made the trip today but didn’t play and is hitting .383. But if Repko is placed on the 60-day DL as opposed to the 15-day (which is likely), that will open up another 40-man spot, probably for Seanez. Dodgers improve to 15-11.
