It only gets worse for one of the truly good guys in the Dodgers clubhouse. Yesterday’s MRI showed some sort of ligament separation in his his left hammy — “I’m not sure if it’s a tear or a breakaway,” manager Grady Little said — and a second opinion is being sought. Second opinions are rarely sought for any other reason than a player needs surgery. Thus, it appears Repko will be out at least half the season. This is the same guy who sprained an ankle so severely trying to make a leaping catch at the centerfield wall last season that he missed 2 1/2 months. If it’s true that luck evens out over a lifetime, there is a million-dollar lottery ticket in this guy’s future. Get well soon.
