Finally, the answer you have all been waiting for …

Yes, Rudy Seanez IS coming back to the Dodgers. The veteran right-hander, who is now 39, signed a one-year contract with a $550,000 base and up to $750,000 in incentives, meaning he could earn as much as $1.3 million. Most importantly, it’s a major-league contract, meaning Seanez goes on the 40-man roster and doesn’t have to worry about making the team in spring training as he did last year, when he came to camp on a minor-league deal. Seanez made a career-high 73 relief appearances for the Dodgers last year, posting a 3.79 ERA. … Also, Rick Monday was inducted today into the Southern California Sports Broadcasters Hall of Fame. The former Dodgers center fielder has been part of the team’s broadcast crew for the past 14 years. Monday serves as a color analyst with Charley Steiner whenever Vin Scully is on hand to do television, then takes over the TV play-by-play duties for those road games outside the N.L. West that Scully doesn’t attend. Monday also is scheduled to receive the Outstanding Youth Role Model award on Feb. 16 from the Society of St. Vincent De Paul for his involvement in the group’s outreach program.
