Furcal takes ground balls
Several of them, in fact, and it appeared effortless. Blake DeWitt was taking them at 3B at the same time, and both players were throwing across to ... Andruw Jones standing on 1B. All of this has to be a good sign, but I'm not sure exactly what it means in terms of the next step. I'll try to find out when I get downstairs.
Here's tonight's lineup, with no Ethier or DeWitt. LaRoche starts against a RH
LF Pierre
CF Kemp
2B Kemp
C Martin
1B Loney
3B LaRoche
RF Young
SS Berroa
RH Lowe

Pretty sure Buehrle is a actually a left-hander, so LaRoche at third makes sense. (some would say it makes sense either way, but Joe is not one of them)
tony, i'm here for my daily raffy update. so how is furcal doing? will he really be back before the all star break? did you get torre's thoughts?
Wow, that Matt Kemp sure is versatile ...
;-)
Good catch, Andrea,
Matt Kemp is playing center-second for the first time in his career.
Buehrle is a lefty.

And Kemp will be playing both positions simultaneously. Certainly will give the Dodgers more range at 2B.
They'll have to use a "ghost runner" if Kemp gets on ahead of Kemp.
and considering Kemp and Kent can't stand each other... I'm sure they're both insulted tony. ;)
