Even the Ned-bashers have to give him credit for signing Kuroda!

If I’m not mistaken, it was Logan White who first discovered him. Hence, White should be the GM.

While Logan was instrumental in scouting and signing Kuroda, Keiichi Kojima (known throughout the organization as K.K.) who was the first cog. He is the Dodgers’ scout who is actually based in Japan. From there, it went up the chain to Acey Kohrogi, the Dodgers’ Asian operations director, who goes to Japan several times a year. Eventually, Logan went to Japan to scout him, and I believe Paul Fryer, who is now the Dodgers’ national crosschecker, also went to Japan to have a look. I’m sure I’m probably leaving somebody out, and I apologize for that. Ultimately, though, it was Ned who made the decision to sign him — although Ned would be the first to tell you that Acey, K.K. and Dodgers traveling secretary Scott Akasaki, all of whom spent time with Kuroda in Japan just before the signing, were instrumental in getting the deal done. And, of course, Frank McCourt was the guy who ponied up the $35.3 million.

I stand corrected. Thanks for the clarification Tony.
