Nomar update: he’ll be out for a while

He has a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee. What we are being told is that he will have “very little” activity over the next few days, then will “progress to baseball activity as tolerated.” I love the vagueness of this prognosis. Speaks volumes, IMHO.

What’s new? We saw this coming before he was moved to short.

So let me get this straight. He’s finally willing to go with the “hot hand” and not just throw huge contracts out on the field because we’re at a critical juncture of the season, but at the same time he’s willing to go out there each day with 24 guys instead of 25?

I loved how Vin Scully used “fertilizer” to describe Blake’s umpire angst.

Nomar is paper. He moves, he’s hurt. They blew a chance tonite for a big comeback victory & couldn’t score in the last 3 innings. I guess Ned No Head Colletti will make some assinine deal for a shortstop now. But how about looking at getting Michael Young? The Parking Lot Attendant is maxed out of credit, has no dough, and should not have been allowed to purchase the Dodgers in the first place. The guy bought the team on all loans–half of them from FOX who he bought the team from. The Dodgers are and have been a mess of an organization since Peter O’Malley sold the team. Sadder days to come…
