Sounds like there could be changes

Both Ned and Joe indicated that they are still working through some things with the roster, and Joe specifically mentioned pitching. It’s probably that last spot that initially went to Troncoso. My guess is they might be reconsidering that and thinking of giving it to Proctor or McDonald. The starting lineup for Game 1 is set. It’s as follows:

SS Furcal
C Martin
LF Ramirez
RF Ethier
1B Loney
RF Kemp
2B DeWitt
3B Blake
RH Lowe

Joe said the DeWitt-hitting-in-front-of-Blake has more to do with staggering lefty-righty-lefty-righty all the way down from five through eight.

I didn’t think Troncoso should have been on the roster to begin with. He has allowed 37 hits in 38 innings pitched and his ERA away from Dodger Stadium is 5.59!

I guess it will be Proctor if there is a change. No way Joe skips over his man crush twice! Plus I don’t even think James McDonald is eligible for the postseason roster.

DeWitt should be batting a head of Blake anyways. Casey Blake has been horrible for a while now.

  • I’m still pining for McDonald to be on the roster. Troncoso is getting better but he’s still sorta mediocre right now. Proctor has sucked this year.

McDonald is an unknown but he looks extremely sharp and there’s an off chance he could be great.

If anything, Eric Stults should be the 11th pitcher since he’s a lefty…is Kuroda even in Chicago since he’s pitching in L.A. Saturday?
