Dodgers 5, Rockies 1

Takashi Saito warmed up during the top of the ninth, but Joe Torre opted for Jonathan Broxton in the bottom of the ninth. A four-run lead has to be looked at like a save situation in this park, and Joe said that this late in the year and with this much at stake, he is looking at a four-run lead in the ninth like a save situation in ANY park. Said Saito would have come in, the chilly, rainy weather notwithstanding, if the Dodgers had scored another run or two in the ninth. Dodgers go to 77-71, a season-high six games above .500. Snakes are up 2-1 in the eight, but at worst, the Dodgers will shave their magic number to a dozen.

They now are in the top of the tenth, still tied, 2-2.

For anyone with XM Radio, the game is on Channel 184.

It's final. Reds win 3-2 in ten.
