Making it official: moves announced

As expected, Delwyn Young was placed on the 15-day DL, Claudio Vargas was placed on the 60-day DL and Greg Miller was unconditionally released so that Will Ohman, Ronald Belisario and Doug Mientkiewicz all could be added to the 25-man roster. The Young move clears only a 25-man spot, not a 40-man spot, but there was already one 40-man spot open. The 40-man roster is now full.

    Ok Tony, here goes my prediction for Game 1 of the 2009 season.

    Furcal walks, Hudson singles, manny hits a jack.

    At this point Kevin Towers caves and trades Peavy to the Dodgers mid-inning, Peavy changes uni’s and throws 7 shutout innings for the boys in Blue. Peavy somehow manages to win AND lose the game all by himself. Dodgers win 3-0.

    Bring on the madres! I sure hope GScott is right and we get Peavy… thats about 6 wins a year more we will have because we wont have to face him anymore.
