DE-WITTNESS GREATNESS: INF Blake DeWitt has hit safely in 10 of his 12 games with the Isotopes, batting .348 (16-for-46) with three doubles, four triples, and a homer since being optioned on April 30…the 2004 first-round draft pick (28th overall) batted .176 (3-for-17) in nine games with the Dodgers this season.

DON’T BE J-ELLIS: C A.J. Ellis is hitting .346 (9-for-26) in nine May games…the 27-year-old is 6-for-17 (.353) with eight RBI with runners in scoring position…the Kentucky native ranks third in the PCL with a .460 on-base percentage…the 18th-round selection in the 2003 draft batted .321 with four homers for Triple-A Las Vegas in 2008 and appeared in four games with the Dodgers as a September call-up.

STEP HOFF: OF Jamie Hoffmann was promoted to Albuquerque on Tuesday when OF Jason Repko was placed on the disabled list…Hoffmann was hitting a team-leading .307 (31-for-101) with nine doubles, two homers, and 16 RBI with Chattanooga…he doubled in his first game for the Isotopes on Tuesday to break up a no-hit bid in the seventh inning… Hoffman was signed by the Dodgers as a non-drafted free agent in September 2003.

HE WON’T MILT UNDER PRESSURE: LHP Eric Milton is 3-0 with a 0.69 ERA (2 ER/ 26 IP) in his last five starts…he has not allowed a run in his last two starts (8.0 IP)…the 33-year-old was named Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 20-26 and won the Dodger Pride Award for pitchers for the month of April.
