What is a Webkinz?

Maybe your kids know ... anyway, here's the release from the Dodgers. Maybe it'd be a good day to take the little ones to the park.

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers will provide Webkinz Pets to children 14 and under for each of the team's next nine Sunday home games, beginning with the 1:10 p.m. game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim this Sunday, May 24.

The Dodgers have teamed up with Webkinz, one of today's hottest toys with its own world on the web, to give away a starting lineup of Lil'kinz pets, more than any other team in the league.

Webkinz pets are plush pets that each come with a unique secret code. The code is used to enter Webkinz World at www.webkinz.com, where children can care for their pet, answer trivia, earn KinzCash, and play games.

This Sunday is also the first day of the Jr. Dodgers pin trading program and the first five pins - Matt Kemp, Russell Martin, The World of Dodgertown, I love Dodgers, and This is my town - will be available for purchase in merchandise locations throughout the stadium. After the game, kids 14 and under can run the bases on the field as part of the Jr. Dodgers Kids Run the Bases program.
