6/12: Dodgers at Rangers

After a 5-4 homestand, the Dodgers will face the Rangers tonight for a weekend interleague series. Much has been made of the reuniting of Andruw Jones and the Dodgers he performed oh so well for, the but the 32-year-old center fielder isn’t even in the lineup tonight. RHP Hiroki Kuroda will make just his fourth start of the season for the Dodgers after coming off the DL June 2. His last start was a six-inning, two-hit gem that resulted in a no decision Saturday. Rangers RHP Vicente Padilla will look for a second consecutive solid outing after he was placed on waivers by Texas last Wednesday.

It’s too bad Vin Scully won’t be calling this one, because we all know how much he loves Omar Vizquel.
Also, closer Jonathan Broxton is in Georgia to be with his wife Elizabeth for the birth of their first child. He will reportedly join the team tomorrow in Arlington as their baby boy was born Thursday.
