No batting practice, no problem

After a long road trip, a long flight home from Atlanta Sunday night and a loss to the Brewers Monday, Dodgers manager Joe Torre gave his team a break from batting practice Tuesday.

Needless to say, it’s had a positive affect. The Dodgers scored five runs in the first inning, slamming Brewers starter Yovani Gallardo for five hits, including doubles by Casey Blake and Russell Martin.

    Basic arithmetic can be a tough subject for anyone, so don’t feel too bad about being wrong, but the Dodgers only scored four runs in the first inning, not five.
