Hyun-Jin Ryu ranked 42nd and Yasiel Puig 47th on Baseball America’s annual list of the top 100 major-league prospects.
One other thing that sets the two apart is that they’ve never taken part in spring training in the United States before this year. On Monday, Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti shared his thoughts on how the two have adapted so far:
“I think they both fit in real well,” Colletti said. “I think that they probably wondered what it was going to be like, and they wonder about their first game, what that’s going to be like, and when they get to the big leagues, they wonder what that’s going to be like. But you learn, you see how they react, you see how open they are to their teammates.
“I think they blend right in.”
