Yasiel Puig has already been assigned to Double-A Chattanooga, but fans will get one more look at the rising prospect in a Dodgers uniform this month.
Puig was one of three outfielders listed on the travel roster, along with Carl Crawford and Alex Castellanos, for the Dodgers’ exhibition game against the Single-A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes at the Epicenter tomorrow night at 6 p.m.
Also making the trip to Rancho Cucamonga are infielders Alfredo Amezaga, Jerry Hairston Jr., Luis Cruz, Brian Barden, Omar Luna, C.J. Retherford, Bladimir Franco; catchers Matt Wallach, Austin Cowen and Christopher O’Brien; pitchers Stephen Fife (starter), Peter Moylan, Geison Aguasviva, Eric Eadington and Ryan Acosta.
Of those, Moylan and Amezaga are still in the running for major-league roster spots as non-roster invitees. Tommy Lasorda will manage the game. Lorenzo Bundy will be the bench coach. Glenn Dishman (pitching), John Valentin (hitting/first base), Jose Vizcaino (third base), Ken Howell (bullpen), Steve Yeager and Fumi Ishibashi (bullpen catcher) will also be in uniform.
The Dodgers’ roster for the Freeway Series opener in Anaheim (7 p.m. tomorrow) is much longer:
