Time Warner Cable announced it will carry Spanish-language telecasts of five Dodgers games this season beginning tomorrow night.
Fox Sports Networks will produce the games for distribution by local Time Warner Cable systems to its customers, which will air locally on channel 858.
The Dodgers’ broadcast team will feature Jorge Jarrin on play-by-play and longtime coach Manny Mota providing the analysis and commentary.
The partnership is an unusual one. Fox Sports and Time Warner spent all winter bidding against each other for the Dodgers’ local broadcast rights for the 2014 season and beyond. Time Warner ultimately partnered with the Dodgers to create a team-owned regional network, Sportsnet LA. Fox has since given priority to the Angels on its local affiliates, Fox Sports West and Prime Ticket, and will produce 63 Angels games in Spanish on channel 858.
