Oakland A’s claim outfielder Nick Buss from Dodgers.

The Oakland Athletics claimed Nick Buss off waivers from the Dodgers, who designated the 27-year-old outfielder for assignment on Thursday. Buss was assigned to Triple-A Sacramento.

The former USC standout, an eighth-round draft pick by the Dodgers in 2008, had been batting .261/.330/.391 at Triple-A Albuquerque prior to being DFA’d.
