Juan Uribe expected back this week.

Third baseman Juan Uribe could be back in the Dodgers’ lineup later this week.

“Some point this week we’re hoping, but his body’s going to tell us,” Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said. “His confidence is going to tell us when he’s going to be able to play. We’re hoping more be able to get out and play games some point this week. We’ve been this long. Might as well make sure that he’s as safe as you can be when you come back and ready to go.”

Uribe, on the 15-day disabled list since May 21 with a strained hamstring, has been running on the field throughout the weekend.

Reserve third baseman Jamie Romak is getting his first career major-league start against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
