The Dodgers’ Triple-A affiliate, the Albuquerque Isotopes, were involved in a massive brawl this evening during their game against the Arizona Diamondbacks-affiliated Reno Aces. Ten players were ejected:

SAN FRANCISCO >> Despite rumors swirling around outfielder Matt Kemp, and the recent struggles of several veteran pitchers, Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti said Saturday that “we may not do anything” between now and the non-waiver trade deadline of 1 p.m. Thursday.

“We have a club that’s solid, still has a lot of upside. Have we won four games in a row yet?”

Alex Guerrero returns to Triple-A, “has a chance to be up here,” per Dodgers GM.

SAN FRANCISCO >> Alex Guerrero‘s long road back from a vicious dugout fight in May has taken him back to Triple-A Albuquerque.

Guerrero’s rehab was transferred from Single-A Rancho Cucamonga today to Triple-A. The Isotopes are playing a game tonight in Reno, Nevada. It was in a game with Albuquerque that Guerrero had part of his left ear bitten off by Miguel Olivo in the visitors’ dugout in Salt Lake City.

“There’s a good chance had he not had the incident, he probably would’ve been here by now,” Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti said.

Giants trade for Jake Peavy, who will start Sunday against the Dodgers.

SAN FRANCISCO >> The Giants traded minor-league pitchers Heath Hembree and Edwin Escobar to the Boston Red Sox on Saturday for veteran right-hander Jake Peavy. He is expected to start tomorrow against the Dodgers, according to multiple reports.

Update (11:00 a.m.): The Giants have confirmed the trade. It’s official.

Peavy is 14-2 with a 2.21 earned-run average in his career against the Dodgers. He pitched for the San Diego Padres from 2002-09.

Sunday’s game is an ESPN Sunday Night Baseball telecast. Hyun-Jin Ryu is scheduled to start for the Dodgers at AT&T Park.
