Joc Pederson achieves historic 30-30 season in Pacific Coast League.

Dodgers prospect Joc Pederson achieved a rare Pacific Coast League milestone when he stole his 30th base of the season against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox on Saturday.

The 22-year-old outfielder now has 31 home runs and 30 steals for the season. No PCL player has posted a 30 home run-30 steal season since Frank Demaree did so in 1934 for the Los Angeles Angels. Demaree hit 45 home runs and stole 41 bases in 186 games that year (it was an epic year).

Pederson has a chance to make his major-league debut with the Dodgers when rosters expand September 1. He’s ranked among the top 50 prospects in baseball by MLB.com, Baseball America and Baseball Prospectus.
